Do You Lead with Conviction?

Over the past two weeks I have attended two fantastic business events with small business owners.  I love hearing all of the energy and excitement they bring each day and the sharing that follows.  As a business owner for over 20 years, I have walked in their shoes several times – whenever I “birthed” a new direction, new program or new brand.  As an entrepreneur I have been so passionate about what I do and what I offer, yet frequently I meet other business owners or entrepreneurs who lack the conviction for their business, despite exhibiting passion.

Without conviction, nothing really matters, and nothing of significance is passed on   R. Albert Mohler Jr.

This quote seems particularly poignant to me because if we think of the meaning of conviction as a firmly held belief or persuasion, then why are entrepreneurs unable to lead their business with conviction?  Why do so many entrepreneurs fail to be successful at earning a decent living and living a more balanced, happy life.

I’d love to hear your thoughts?

Here’s another quote on conviction to consider as you tackle your next project.

Acknowledgement is possession. When you acknowledge, think or have conviction in something, it actually will come true.  Stephen Richards
